Nano Golf

A tapping-mode height atomic force microscopy (AFM) image of polystyrene nanoparticles spun-coated onto a polymeric film substrate is viewed. The polymeric film displays some nanoholes with an average size of 140-180 nm, where the average size of the polystyrene nanoparticles is 120 nm. The nanoparticles displaced along the surface interact between the film surface and the some of them are entrapped onto the holes of the polymeric film. The idea of placing some golf markers for the holes provides a new view of what could be playing golf at that level. The “nano golf markers” which are virtually the size of ~400 nm were added to the image using the paint software from windows.
