The Battle

A tapping-mode height atomic force microscopy (AFM) image of silica and polystyrene nanoparticles spun-coated onto a silicon substrate is viewed. The average size of the silica nanoparticles is 80-90 nm and the polystyrene ones is 120 nm. As the different nanoparticles displaced along the surface interact between each others the idea of giving swords to each nanoparticle was born, converting this nanospace into a battle field. The “nano swords” which are virtually no bigger then 10 nm were added to the image using the paint software from windows.
